Chilli Bay Water Park Every time I go to Chilli Bay, a local waterpark in my hometown, I have a bit of a ritual. After I get my daughter settled, we go into the largest pool there and I try my hardest to swim underwater from one end to the other without coming up for air. Usually, I make it. Sometimes, I don’t. I kind of like to test my cardio. Why am I telling you this? Because this is a great analogy for dieting. How long can YOU hold your breath to get to the other side without needing to come up for air? Picture it….you’re dieting strictly. You’re hitting your macros perfectly. Every. Single. Day. Each morsel of food is weighed and tracked. You may even be logging your water intake, also. You have never been so strict in your entire life. It’s going great. The results are coming in nicely and you couldn’t be happier. But how long can you keep this up? How long do you NEED to keep this up to reach your goal? If you have a long way to go, it may take you a very long time.
